Benefit Raffle

Picture

We at Rock Creek Roping Productions are honored to continue serving as a platform to benefit those in need. This year we have selected a cowboy family from Northern Utah, the Hadlocks. Reese & Kati are a young family that welcomed their first child into this world 17 weeks before she was due. With many prayers and a powerful support system, nine months later little Graci Lynn is happy and healthy, but it has not come without sacrifice and struggle. This humble family is very near and dear to our hearts, and we are proud to lend a helping hand to make sure they are taken care.

We are excited to offer a brand new set of Bret Haskett rawhide romal reins for our 2020 benefit raffle, all proceeds going to the Hadlock family. With 60 buttons, not only are they functional for the every-day working cowboy, but they will catch your eye with the exceptional craftsmanship. Huge shout-out to Mr. Haskett for his help and support in creating this opportunity!

Graci's Story

On Tuesday March 5th, 2019, Reese and Kati Hadlock got the word that their baby was in danger of arriving early. At that time answers were completely unknown when the baby would be born. Their hope: stabilize the baby and Kati and keep her in for several more weeks.

On March 8th, 2019 The Hadlocks welcomed a beautiful, tiny one pound baby girl into the world at just 23 weeks gestation, 17 weeks too early. With just a 25% chance of only living a couple of hours Graci Lynn Hadlock began the fight. Graci was strong, she exceeded all the doctors expectations by a long shot. With many ups and downs, several infections in her lungs and throat, a heart condition, a hemorrhage on her brain and after 110 days in the NICU, Reese and Kati were finally able to take little Graci home.

Graci still has a long road. She has the support of oxygen while battling with Chronic Lung Disease, and she continues to visit doctors roughly 3 times a week which forced Kati to leave her job to stay home full-time with Graci.

One month of having Graci home, Reese and Kati received devastating news, that tiny Graci needed to be readmitted back into the NICU for surgery. In the NICU, Graci saw an eye specialist that tracked the development of her eyes, and when they brought Graci home Kati continued to take her back for those checks. She had begun into the beginning stages of Retinopathy of prematurity (the blood vessel that attach to Graci’s retina had started to tangle) which could cause her to be blind. On July 26th, 2019 she underwent surgery to fix the tangled blood vessels. She is such a fighter to overcome all that is thrown at her.

Today Graci is still on oxygen to support her tiny lungs, and visits a heart and lung doctor once a month. She is very tiny and fragile, and has a ton of catching up to do. But she is full of sass, and is kicking prematurity in the butt.
